This self-guided driving tour stretches up Maryland's Eastern Shore. As it passes through Maryland following the stories of Tubman’s daring rescues, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway meanders northward through Caroline County to the Delaware border at Sandtown. From the Home page in this app, tap the Begin Tour button to start your journey.
If you do not have time to take the full tour, you can touch the Map navigation button at the bottom of this app to locate your position and find nearby sites. When the map page loads, touch the "target" icon in the upper left of the map to show your current location. Touch any site number on the map, and a pop-up box will display the site name. Touch the site name in the pop-up box to see a site image, the list of audio tracks for that site, and directions to the next site.
You can also touch the Sites navigation button at the bottom of this app to find a list of historic sites in the area.
